Among its dedicated team members is personal assistant Hollie Horan. Joining as a Team Support in 2019, Hollie’s journey has seen her ascend to the role of personal assistant, providing essential support to the director and associate director, where she plays an integral role in ensuring the seamless operation of the consultancy.

We recently caught up with Hollie to find out more about Robert Walters, Eleven Brindleyplace, and her favourite things about the area.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your job

I am the personal assistant to the director and associate director for Robert Walters, a recruitment company based here at Eleven Brindleyplace. I look after the whole office and ensure everything runs smoothly. My job is very varied and always keeps me busy, and it is a really fun company to work for.

What does a normal working day look like for you?

Very busy and a lot of variety! I help the consultants with any problems that need resolving and complete my day-to-day tasks, which could be anything from planning events to sorting out different spreadsheets and reports for the team.

How do you travel to the office?

I live in the Jewellery Quarter, so I walk into the office when I am not working from home.

How do you find your commute to Eleven Brindleyplace?

The walk is really enjoyable and only takes around 15 minutes. Sometimes, I get a coffee on my way or just come straight to work. Once I get to Eleven Brindleyplace, I am greeted by the lovely front of house, which is always pleasant in the morning.

Where are your favourite places in Brindleyplace?

There are so many good bars, restaurants and attractions around Brindley Place. To name a few would be Rudy’s Pizza, Siamais, Ikon Gallery is a really cool spot for local exhibitions, and Lulu Wild is also one of my favourites.

What’s your favourite place in Birmingham?

My favourite place in Birmingham is any of the green spaces we have around the area. They are always filled with lots of people and are a good relaxing place to go when the weather is shining. Also, all of the independents we have located around. They’re always an enjoyable experience visiting one and supporting local businesses.

What do you like about being based at Eleven Brindleyplace?

I think the most important thing about being based at Eleven Brindleyplace is the location and how close we are to the centre of town and to many bars and restaurants. Also, not forgetting, all of the staff that work out of Eleven Brindleyplace, they are always super friendly and are here to help!
