Eleven Brindleyplace moves into top gear

Property professionals have been racing to secure space at Birmingham’s striking building, Eleven Brindleyplace. Office agents competed for the fastest lap time in a racecar simulator as an entire floor of the office building was devoted to a motorsport themed event.

Eleven Brindleyplace – a 12-storey building combining outstanding architecture and a prestigious location – was named ‘Best of the Best National Commercial Workplace’ by the British Council of Offices in 2010.

Jonathan Lawes, head of asset management at Cube, said: “It was highly entertaining to see so many office agents driven by the misguided belief that they could match Lewis Hamilton on the track, while being highly charged with testosterone fuelled by the desire to beat their rivals in property.

“There was little evidence to suggest that a career in motorsport might be an option for any of those taking part, but there were one or two who could perhaps give Jeremy Clarkson a good run for his money.”

He added: “It was an excellent event and we were delighted to have the opportunity to demonstrate the fantastic space, facilities and city centre views that Eleven Brindleyplace provides to so many property professionals.”

Kelvin Craddock, of Jones Lang LaSalle, won first prize for the fastest lap. He gets a vintage Porsche 911 for the weekend with an overnight stay and dinner at a luxury boutique hotel in the Cotswolds.

Ed Purcell, of Cushman & Wakefield, claimed second prize – a Porsche Driving Experience at Silverstone for two people and two guests. William Sherlock, of CBRE, clinched third place and won a Porsche Scalextric Set.

Eleven Brindleyplace has been designed specifically to meet the needs of occupiers looking for efficient office accommodation that doesn’t compromise on quality. The flexible 8,645 sq ft floorplates can accommodate a variety of configurations that allow businesses to create environments that perfectly suit their needs.

With stylish business lounge facilities, the innovative Meetingspace and reduced utility costs through its BREEAM ‘Excellent’ specification and on-site landlord support, Eleven Brindleyplace represents one of Birmingham’s best business addresses. It is being marketed by joint agents GVA and GBR Phoenix Beard.
