Argent unveils Meetingspace team.
Brindleyplace developer Argent has created a dedicated team to run Meetingspace, its innovative serviced meeting room solution within its latest Birmingham development, Eleven Brindleyplace.
New team members Joanne Ness and Carley Clark are responsible for the day to day operation of Meetingspace alongside Argent employees Rebecca Whitt and Caroline Harvey.
Opting to manage Meetingspace in-house rather than utilising third parties, Argent aims to ensure user expectations are constantly exceeded via its onsite team who together will deliver an exceptional level of service on everything from refreshments to IT support.
Heading up the team is Joanne Ness whose CV perfectly fits the Meetingspace concept with a combination of both corporate and hospitality roles, including a period working on the QE2 ocean liner.
"When the opportunity to join Meetingspace arose I realised it offered the perfect opportunity to combine all of my experience in one role - the past 12 years working in a corporate financial environment and my time in hospitality," commented Joanne. "The Meetingspace concept is completely new and it has been hugely exciting to be involved with it from the outset. Meetingspace is all about providing first class hospitality and that's certainly something I learned during my career both on the QE2 and working within 5 Star hotels in Birmingham. Fortunately, working at Eleven Brindleyplace has been less turbulent than some of the storm conditions experienced on the QE2 but nonetheless Meetingspace requires the same level of seamless professional delivery to exceed our customers' expectations and this is something the team is proud to be consistently providing."
Situated adjacent to the imposing entrance to Eleven Brindleyplace, Meetingspace's stylish and contemporary business lounge is flooded with natural light, providing the perfect environment for meeting and greeting clients, small informal meetings or hosting corporate events. Surrounding this, four stylish meeting rooms provide flexible space in which to hold company board meetings, presentations and seminars alike. The state of the art rooms have been designed to meet all the latest technological requirements. From HD plasma screens equally capable of displaying laptop presentations, tapping into a website or even switching over to television (if you fancy a lunchtime diversion), to conference call facilities and even magnetic walls for sharing ideas, Meetingspace flexes itself around users working requirements.
For those looking to take the serviced space offering to the next level, Meetingspace also has the capacity to host private dining events. Drafting in signature chefs from Brindleyplace's esteemed restaurant offering including Edmunds, Cielo, Bank and City Inn hotel, Argent has the capacity to tailor bespoke menus day and night for clients and deliver one to six courses with the requisite aplomb.
"Having a dedicated team running Meetingspace is absolutely crucial to the successful delivery of the concept," commented Gary Taylor, joint Managing Director of Argent (UK) Developments. "Eleven Brindleyplace is designed to help companies make smarter business decisions. The service provided by Meetingspace allows tenants the option to reduce their office floorplate requirement by opting to utilise its facilities as their own. Meetingspace also provides external users with an attractive alternative to traditional serviced meeting rooms. Its flexible range of provisions combined with the team's enthusiasm and highly professional service, ensures it suitably reflects the calibre of companies based within the building while also growing an enviable client base of external users."
Up and running for just six months Meetingspace has already hosted some impressive clients including Birmingham Forward, British Council for Offices, Royal Bank of Scotland and Advantage West Midlands. The popularity of the service is such that it currently has forward bookings running into 2010.
